TBI Distributor Survey 2020

The TV distribution industry has transformed itself over recent years and Covid-19 has only hastened that evolution, forcing companies to adapt rapidly to some of the most challenging conditions in recent memory.

Broadcasters and streamers seeking content for locked-down viewers have afforded opportunities, but the effect of suspended productions is now being felt. On top of that, US media giants have been launching their own OTT services, while incumbents such as Netflix continue to grow and invest in talent – further affecting the pipeline of shows to sell.

With the market changing so quickly, how does distribution in 2020 look? How has the pandemic affected your business and the industry? What will 2021 look like? And how effective can distributors be without face-to-face meetings? Ahead of MIPCOM, we would like to invite all programme distribution companies and rights holders to share your expert views on the international distribution market of 2020.

This year’s report – which is being produced in association with TBI’s sibling analyst company Omdia – has again been broken down into four genre-specific surveys to provide more accurate insights. Please answer the relevant survey(s) for your business.

We look forward to reading your views!
