Exclusive: Insight TV and InShort launch across Europe via Huawei Video

The Netherlands-based Insight TV is bringing its flagship linear cablenet – also-named Insight TV – and shortform content channel InShort to Huawei Video in Europe.

The launch follows Huawei’s rollout of its mobile-first video platform earlier this year and will see Insight’s two channels made available in 11 European countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, France and the UK.

Based in Amsterdam and with offices in New York and Los Angeles, Insight TV is a global channel provider, content producer, distributor and format seller. It is currently available in 46 countries and focuses on influencer-led adventure sports and lifestyle content for millennial audiences, with shows including skateboarding series Full Circle and I Am Invincible, following competitors in the Invictus Games. InShort, meanwhile, is Insight TV’s short-form video channel that showcases short versions and teaser clips of Insight TV’s full-length programming.

The channels will also come pre-installed on Huawei devices that run EMUI 8.0 and EMUI 10.0, while other users can download Huawei Video from the AppGallery.

“The launch of Insight TV and InShort on Huawei Video is a great step forward in our strategy to be wherever our millennial viewers like to watch their favourite shows,” said Natalie Boot, Insight TV’s VP of media sales. “Huawei Video has made tremendous progress in Europe over the past two years and we are delighted to be included on their rapidly expanding video platform across the region.”

“We always want to offer our customers the best-quality video experiences,” added Huawei’s Jaime Gonzalo. “With Insight TV and InShort, we are providing the type of content that you just don’t find through mobile devices very often – it’s exciting, it’s engaging and perfect for our millennial and Gen-Z viewers.”
