Acorn TV adds BBC comedy series

The Other One premiered in 2017

AMC Networks-owned streaming service Acorn TV has acquired the North American rights to a BBC1 comedy.

Seven-part series The Other One follows two half-sisters who have no idea the other exists until their father dies.

Produced by Endemol Shine Group’s Tiger Aspect and created and written by Holly Walsh and Pippa Brown, the sitcom premiered on BBC1 in the UK in 2017.

The Other One will debut on Acorn TV in the US and Canada on August 10, followed by Mexico on August 13.
